Dawn of a new era, cloud now on top of Malaysian companies

March 19, 2024

Kuala Lumpur, 12th February 2024: In the race to take business agility to the next level, Malaysian firms are rapidly adopting cloud technology. Following the country’s cloud-first strategy and the Malaysian Digital Economy Blueprint, the growth of cloud computing in the country is projected to reach $3.7 billion in 2024.

This shift can be attributed to the host of advantages that cloud technology migration brings to businesses. While scalability, cost savings and enhanced security are the obvious advantages, the option of real-time data & analytics for faster and improved decision-making makes it an undeniable choice.

As per reports, cloud decision-makers from Malaysian enterprises have migrated 48% of their total application portfolio to a public cloud and further plan to raise the figure to 64% by 2025. The above strongly resonates with the fact that close to 75% of the delegates coming to Malaysia’s premier datacentre & cloud event, DCCI on 14 – 15 May 2024 are looking for Cloud & Cloud Security solutions (*DCCI internal survey data).
